Does the Heart Have a Brain?

Have you ever wondered why the heart is considered the source of all forms of human emotion? The good (love, wisdom, gratitude) and the bad (fear, anger, jealousy)? Throughout the ages we have believed that these feelings come more from the heart than the brain.

Why Do You Suppose That Is?

The answer possibly lies in the fact that the heart radiates more electromagnetic energy than any other part of the body. In fact the heart is like the body’s sun in that it can radiate energy up to ten feet out from the skin. And who hasn’t felt the shine of a person, or the gloom, the moment he or she entered a room? The physical clues are obvious: a happy person generally moves faster and more upright while a depressed person often lowers the head and shuffles. Yet beyond these physical cues we all possess the ability to sense another person’s mood through the energy they radiate.

Miracle Vitamin You’ll Want Plenty Of This Winter

sunlampnewsletterDo you find you frequently have more colds and flus in the winter that cause you to miss work? You just can’t find the energy to do the things you love to do. Your kids are missing more school. You feel a looming depression you just can’t seem to shake off. How would you like to reduce or maybe even eliminate these conditions while also fortifying yourself against other diseases such as osteoporosis, cancer and seasonal affective disorder (SAD)?

Amazingly, you can accomplish this in just five minutes, three times a week. Before I tell you how, here is some important information to keep in mind.

As winter descends upon us and the days get shorter we spend less time outdoors, decreasing our exposure to the sun’s very beneficial UV rays. Season, latitude, time of day, cloud cover, smog, clothes and sunscreens all interfere with UV ray exposure resulting in a deficiency of the vitamin D (the “sunshine vitamin”) which some researchers are now calling the “miracle vitamin.” In fact researchers have estimated that nearly one billion people worldwide have vitamin D deficiency.

Who Would Have Thought Chaos Could Heal?

733779bYou know a therapeutic device works when it is used on animals with success. The placebo effect may be a powerful phenomenon with people but creates no results on dogs, cats or horses. So when Susan Dowlatshahi tells of the events surrounding the vicious dog attack on her pony and the quick recovery with Infratonic treatments, the therapy used has to be taken seriously.

With a gash too deep to stitch, Infratonic treatments were started immediately and continued three times a day. After only eight days a scab covering the entire area fell off revealing new skin and hair growth.

Just like with this pony, the Infratonic 8000 is being used for all kinds of injuries, on all kinds of animals, with undeniable evidence of healing.

Restless Leg Syndrome Is Not An Opiate Deficiency

For me Restless Leg Syndrome (RLS) is like driving down a highway at 70 miles per hour when without warning a deer darts in front of the car. To avoid the animal I instantaneously jam on the brakes, forcing the car to an abrupt stop. The deer continues on its path to safety and the vehicle comes to a standstill but inside the car I am violently being thrashed around by the follow-through forces caused by the sudden stop. With RLS the legs are at a standstill but inside there is a sensation of uncontrolled movement. And the easiest way to alleviate the feeling is to wildly move the legs.

Restless Leg Syndrome is a problem I have had since my teens. For me this ailment is very personal. Over the years it has resulted in several leg injuries caused by the violent movement of my legs, as well as an uncountable number of sleepless nights.

Inflammation: Even The Word Makes You Think, “Ouch!”

Inflammation is truly a fire within the body, generated by the immune system to fight a foreign substance or protect an injured area. We have all experienced it: the redness, swelling and pain. What many people aren’t aware of is that there are two different kinds of inflammation within the body – acute and chronic.

The Two Kinds of Inflammation

Acute inflammation is often caused by an injury. Chronic inflammation is generally more serious for it is difficult to stop and will result in the deterioration of body tissues over time. It may destroy a knee, as with rheumatoid arthritis, or even lead to cancer. Often with chronic inflammation the pain isn’t immediate, but only shows itself when the affected area has suffered some tissue destruction. With chronic inflammation the pain can even be located in a part of the body not associated with damaged tissues. When the heart is inflamed the person is more likely to experience a swelling in the legs than a pain in the heart.

Every time you turn on the TV some company is advertising a new product that will improve your health. There is such a bombardment of health products on the market claiming to be the next best thing that knowing who to believe can be overwhelming.

It seems like the new fad with exercising is speed, how fast can a workout be completed. “Only 30 minutes, three days a week and your body will look amazing,” is all too commonly heard from companies claiming their product works the best.

With every advertisement comes a statement posted on the bottom: “Results Not Typical.” What is typical, and what has to be done to see improvement? These are questions every customer has, but the information is never there.

A Massage Is A Terrible Thing To Waste

MassageMassage is the oldest of the healing arts and also the most varied. There are at least 200 different massage protocols. Massage is often associated with a feeling of bliss, even when it really works your muscles. It has the ability to relieve muscle pain or train your muscles to move more efficiently. Massage can be performed with hands, elbows, water, rocks, air or a variety of other therapeutic tools.

The Tools of the Trade

One of the most important tools for a masseuse or masseur is the table. It must be strong enough to comfortably accommodate small and large clients alike. The table must be at a height which will allow the massage givers to have the greatest comfort and mobility as they apply their trade. Promolife carries a large variety of massage chairs, and both portable and stationary tables.

The Amazing Healing Properties Of Color Therapy

The skin feels color. Yes you read that right, the skin can learn to tell the difference between colors. Kurt Goldstein, in his 1930s book The Organism, concluded that various colors affect the skin differently. Through his research he showed that blind people can learn to differentiate color by the way the hue makes the skin feel.

It is not known why this happens, but then it is also not known why 1 in a 1000 people can hear colors or see music. And yet it is a common phenomena called synaesthesia.

History of Color Therapy

Color therapy has been around for at least four thousand years. Several ancient societies, like the Chinese, Indian and Egyptian, used colors for healing. The Egyptians even built sacred buildings where they practiced the art of color therapy. Written case studies and cures have been found in both the Chinese and Egyptian cultures.

Lyme Disease: Like Beating Back Supernatural Beasts

Part 2 of 2 | Read Part 1 of Series

The spirochetes that cause Lyme Disease are truly monsters. Like a Boogeyman they hide from detection by boring into body tissues such as bone, tendons, joints, nerves and, most preferably, the brain. This is how the spirochetes are able to avoid being confronted by either the body’s immune system or any antibiotics, which use the circulatory system as their avenue for attack. In essence the spirochetes hide under the bed until all is clear, then they dart out of their cubby holes and start creating the havoc for which they are infamous. This is why Lyme Disease can go into remission only to later resurface with a vengeance. And the fiendishness doesn’t stop there, for not only do they hide, they also shape shift like a werewolf.

Lyme Disease: Something To Get Ticked About

Part 1 of 2 | Read Part 2 of Series

If you thought Lyme disease was transmitted by ticks, you’d be partially right. If you thought Lyme disease could not be transmitted between humans, you’d be partially right. And, if you thought antibiotics could cure Lyme disease, again you’d be partially right.

Because Lyme disease is a recently discovered ailment, knowledge about the illness has only been partially developed. In fact, it is often overlooked by medical professionals because there are over 100 different symptoms depending on the stage of the disease.

America’s #1 Bug Enemy

On the world stage mosquitoes cause more disease in people than any other creature of the insect persuasion. However, in the United States the tick effects the most damage to human health. This is for the most part due to the discovery of Lyme disease in Old Lyme, Connecticut during a juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis outbreak. The Center for Disease Control thought the epidemic unnatural so they investigated the circumstances and discovered Lyme disease as the cause.
