How To Set Up The Ozone Therapy Equipment

Ozone Therapy

Part 2 of 3 | Read Part 1 of Series | Read Part 3 of Series

One of the preferred ways of performing ozone therapy is by using a steam sauna as the method of delivery. Promolife has several ozone therapy packages available, like the Steam Sauna Pro, Steamy Wonder and Comfort Steam Sauna. For purposes of this article we will be using the Comfort Steam Sauna #22 Package. However, setting up the ozone generator and oxygen concentrator is exactly the same for all of the ozone packages. The only variable is with the particular saunas themselves.

Included in the package is the Comfort Steam Sauna, Z5000 Ozone Generator, Oxygen Concentrator (optional), Water Bubbler and Accessory Package of tubes and connectors. Setting up ozone therapy may seem like a complicated enterprise to undertake, yet with the instructions that will be provided in this article you should be able to set it up with little difficulty.

Details of the Ozone Package #22

The Comfort Steam Sauna has five different kinds of parts which makes up the steam tent (Figure 1), and three parts for the Steam Pot (Figure 2).The parts of the steam tent includes a base ring made from 12 hard plastic pieces, the cloth floor, a wall section, three metal rod battens, and a chair. The steam pot has only three parts, the white plastic tee, steam hose, and the water container which turns water to steam.

In order to create the ozone one needs both a pure oxygen source and ozone generator (Figure 3). For purposes of these instructions the oxygen source will be an oxygen concentrator, though oxygen tanks are also an acceptable source of oxygen. The ozone water bubbler is used to create ozonated drinking water.

The accessory package of tubes includes a clear tube which is used to connect the oxygen concentrator to the ozone generator (Figure 4), a short (roughly 6 inches) silicon tube which is attached to the two middle connector nozzles on the ozone generator (Figure 5). The longer, opaque colored, silicon tube is connected from the ozone generator to the steam tent. The two plastic connectors can be used to connect to the steam tent, or other ozone accessories.

Putting the Steam Sauna Ozone Therapy Together

It is probably best to put the Comfort Steam Sauna together first, though it is not a requirement. Place the floor piece on a floor with the rubberized material facing up (Figure 6). On the floor piece place the wall section upright then unfold so the neck hole is upright (Figure 7). Take the edge of the floor piece and lift it over the side of the wall section. Next, put the 12 base ring pieces together. Each piece has both a male extender on one end, and a female connector on the other end. Simply fit these male and female sections together until you have made a complete circle (Figure 8). This hard plastic ring is next slipped into the sauna tent (Figure 9). Slide the ring down the walls of the sauna tent until the ring contacts the floor. It is best if the smooth edge of the ring is facing upward, but not a requirement (Figure 10).

The three wire battens are used at the top of the sauna tent to keep it taut. The three wires connect together with the longer center wire having two female connections to which the other two wires slip into. There are several cloth loops located under the sewn top seam (Figure 11). Slide the wire through the loops and secure each end into the loop nearest the zipper. The battens are optional, they do not have to be used.

Figure 11

There is only one more thing to do to complete the sauna tent. Take the steam pot’s white plastic tee and from the inside of the sauna tent slip the single threaded end through the hole located in the back, about a foot off the floor (Figure 12). On the outside of the steam tent place the nut on the threaded piece sticking through the hole. This will secure the tee to the sauna tent.

Setting Up the Other Equipment

On the lid of the steam pot is a nozzle to which the wide end of the steam hose can be attached. The thinner end of the steam hose slips into the end of the white plastic tee sticking through the back of the sauna tent (Figure 13). Plug the steam pot in, and it is ready for use. It is best to use distilled water with the steam pot to avoid mineral build up, but is not a requirement. Fill water to the water line on the inside of the water holding tank. Turning the timer on begins the heating of the water.

Figure 13

The ozone generator and oxygen concentrator should be placed on a table, so to avoid water from accidentally getting on the units. The oxygen concentrator comes with a plastic tube which is used to connect to the concentrator. Slip the tube over the connector nozzle near the top, on the front of the unit (Figure 14). The other end is placed over the ‘oxygen in’ nozzle on the ozone generator (Figure 5). Other than plugging the machine in this is all that is required for setting up oxygen concentrator. As stated earlier the short silicon tube goes over the middle two connectors of the ozone generator. The long silicon tube goes over the ‘ozone out’ nozzle. Take the other end of the long silicon tube and place it into the sauna tents zipper to secure the end. This is where the ozone will flow into the sauna tent (Figure 15 and Figure 16). The Comfort Steam Sauna Ozonation System is now ready to be used.

Making Ozonated Water

Drinking ozonated water is another method of getting the benefits of ozone. Setting up the oxygen concentrator and ozone generator is exactly the same process as with the steam sauna system. The only difference is the ozone silicon tube is put into the top piece of the water bubbler. Tap or purified water should be put into the bubbler. Ozone can be bubbled into the water from 5 to 30 minutes, depending on the intensity of the ozonated water desired. The water must be consumed within a few minutes, before the ozone separates into a double oxygen and a single oxygen molecule. When ozonated water is poured into a glass some of the ozone will rise to the surface of the water. Since breathing ozone can be irritating, blowing across the top of water will dissipate the ozone leaving the water without the harsh smell.

As you can see setting up the ozone therapy equipment is basically very straight forward. The only degree of difficulty comes with the Comfort Steam Sauna which has some tight fitting pieces. But, within an hour everything can be up and ready to use.
