Cancer: Destruction Through High Heat

During the 1930s the Italian government drained Rome’s Pontine swamps. For centuries these swamps had been notorious breeding grounds for mosquitoes, which caused malaria among the population. As predicted by the government the destruction of the insects resulted in the disappearance of the disease. But what was unforeseen was that with the elimination of malaria came an increase in the cancer rate. Before the swamp was dried out the local people had never suffered from cancer. Eventually medical researchers realized the attack of the high fevers malaria brings was both destroying the cancer cells, and stimulating the body’s immune system to keep cancer from developing into tumors.

How To Build A Far Infrared Sauna

buildyourownsauna.jpg

Building a far infrared sauna may seem to be a daunting task, for even the jargon of such a project is new to most people. Emitters, housing trays, terminal blocks, it all may seem a bit scary, but in reality the learning curve is not all that great. The main advantage of building a sauna is the amount of money you can save, as much as 50% over a pre-built model. To build a sauna you will need basic carpentry tools and skills, or you can hire a handyman.

Far Infrared: Elixir of Light

Far infrared is essential to life. It is naturally emitted by the sun, naturally absorbed into the body and naturally emitted from the body. But what exactly is it, and how does it work when it comes to health?

We can’t see far infrared but we can feel it. It is past the visible spectrum of light from the sun but plays a big part in the warmth we feel. The air temperature in direct sunlight and in the shade is the same, but you feel cooler in the shade. When you step back out into direct light, the far infrared waves from the sun warm your skin without adding additional warmth to the air.

At the University of Fukui in Japan there is a six story building devoted to the development of far infrared technologies. NASA was researching the health effects of far infrared long before this university decided to concentrate on the subject. But, today most of the major progress in far infrared is coming out of the orient.

New far infrared products are constantly being patented.
Everything from a toilet bowl that has two far infrared lamps, used to treat hemorrhoids, to a medical thermometer which instantaneously reports a person’s temperature after a light beam is shot into the individual’s ear.

Promolife Sells Dozens Of Far Infrared Products

Not counting saunas Promolife sells over 50 products which has a far infrared technology at the core of its mechanics. Below is a complete list of these products and the ways each affects, or benefits the body.

Far Infrared: The Ultimate Sauna

Nature provides its own method of a far infrared sauna. To take one, head to the nearest beach, dig a hole, and cover yourself to the neck with the warm crushed stones. Sand, like any heated stone, emits far infrared. Some stones, like tourmaline, emit far infrared without having to be heated. The high tech version of the sand sauna can be found in the bio-ceramic emitters made for use in far infrared saunas.

Health Benefits Other Saunas Don’t Have

Unlike other saunas, the far infrared saunas’ heat penetrates at least 1 1/2 inches below the skin’s surface. This creates a deeper cleansing of the tissues. Far infrared heats the body directly. It does not use the air surrounding the person as a go between. The direct contact far infrared creates with the individual will result in a more intense sweat, while actually generating a lower temperature. This in turn allows more toxins to be eliminated than with other higher heated saunas.

Passive Cardiovascular Conditioning Effect

A Far Infrared Sauna makes it possible for people who are otherwise unable to exert themselves or who won’t follow through on an exercising and conditioning program to achieve a cardiovascular training effect. This also allows for more variety in any ongoing training program.

“Many of us who run, do so to place a demand on our cardiovascular system, not to build big leg muscles. Regular use of a sauna may impart a similar stress on the cardiovascular system, and its regular use may be as effective, as a means of cardiovascular conditioning and burning of calories and regular exercise.” As reported in the Journal of American Medical Association.

What Can Far Infrared Saunas Do for Me?

Improves Skin

Perspiration purges clogged pores of deeply embedded impurities and dead skin cells leaving you with glowing radiant skin. An increase in blood circulation encourages a healthy flow of nutrients to your skin that in turn helps to relieve acne, eczema, psoriasis, and burns. It will also encourage the healing of lesions and minor cuts.

Burns Calories and Controls Weight

One session in any good Far Infrared Sauna (FIR) will burn as many calories as you would rowing or jogging for 30 minutes. Through deep penetration of fat cells, radiant heat therapy will help clear away cellulite.

Energy Efficient

All of our FIR Saunas use very little energy, about the same amount as a small appliance (a hair dryer for example). And with no preheat time, you won’t waste energy or time waiting for your unit to warm up.
