In nature ultraviolet light is used at the earth’s stratosphere to create ozone. So in one way ultraviolet light and ozone share a commonality. Within water purification each method perform similar tasks, but in different ways. Each is effective at eradicating microorganisms like bacteria, viruses and molds. Ozone is more versatile and effective than UV for it also oxidizes metals, chlorine and other contaminates.

Communities Worldwide Use Ozone For Water Purification

In 1893 Oudshoorn, Netherlands became the first community in the world to use ozone to purify water. In the hundred plus years since ozone’s beginnings over 3,000 communities worldwide have installed ozone equipment for water purification. Currently the biggest is in Los Angeles where 600 million gallons of water can be disinfected daily.

Water: Nature’s Elixir To Optimal Health

Water is essential to our health. When the body lacks water, maintaining the blood becomes a priority over the cells. The body will allow cellular damage to occur before the viscosity of the blood is permitted to be lost.  When it comes to water distribution, the brain is the most important because it contains the highest concentration of water (85%), and for the work it executes as controller over bodily functions.  So losing out on hydration is possibly the worst thing you can do to your body.

Water performs many vital tasks within the body, like breaking down food particles, running the body’s hydroelectric pumps, removing toxins, cooling and carrying nutrients to cells.  Without water the body simply can not perform its necessary functions, and vital processes will shut down.  You need to know when your body is dehydrated and work to counteract the problem.

Only You Can Ensure Your Drinking Water Is Safe

What do you get when you fix jet fuel, radon, ammonia and pharmaceuticals with water?  Simple.  You get tap water that every water treatment plant in the United States can legally call “safe to drink.”

Water quality is one of the most important environmental concerns for Americans.  The EPA, White House and Congress are disconnected from the reality of the situation and the wishes of many citizens.  In the past decade, the government has actually been working against the interests of securing clean water.

US Tap Water Is Tainted With Pharmaceuticals

On March 10th, 2008, the Associated Press released the findings of a five month investigation of tap water conducted in 24 American cities.  The investigation found trace quantities of drugs in the water used by 41 million people.

Are Heavy Metals Your Body’s Time Bomb?

Heavy Metals

What Are Heavy Metals?

There are 35 metals that can damage the body; 23 of them are called ‘heavy metals’. In order to be classified as a heavy metal the element must have a specific gravity of at least five times greater than that of water. The metals considered to be the most dangerous to the body are mercury, cadmium, lead, arsenic and aluminum. In general, these metals are of no use to the body.

Specifics About Each Of The Five Metals

AluminumThe specific gravity is 2.80. The best way to test for contamination is blood, urine or feces for recent exposure; hair or fingernail analysis will detail the last 3 to 6 months. Hair with coloring in it will not give a reliable reading of toxicity. Because of its low specific gravity, aluminum is not a heavy metal. Aluminum can leach calcium from the bones. It can also stop the body’s ability to digest and make use of calcium, flouride and phosphorous.
